So goodbye english and hello swedish.. at least for now!

MY PARAGON*

On January 30, 1948 the world suffered a great loss. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (मोहन दास करमचन्द गान्धी) was assasinated on his way to a prayer meeting. He was a man of truth and faith that emphasized a life pursuing non-violence and civil disobedience. He was a man of many great ideas and during his 79 years in this world he changed the course of politics and the nature of men.
"We must be the change we wish to see in the world."
Nothing could come between him and his beliefs.
"To believe in something, and not to live it, is dishonest."
If everyone acted and reacted the way the great Mahatma Ghandi did the world would be a peaceful, just and astonishing place.
"You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty."

Ghandi dedicated his life to the purpose of discovering truth, and he did.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

What to do, what to do... To start with I want to express my utmost delight in Mr. Fredrik Reinfeldts choice of giving Mr. Carl Bildt the position of Foreign minister of the Kingdom of Sweden. Mrs. Maud Olofsson as the minister of industry and vice prime minister is another fantastic choice presented yesterday morning. Other pleasing events that took place yesterday was my interview with Espresso House that resultet in probationary (trial) employment. YES! Finally an income! Now to the things that's bothering me. I have to hold a speech in swedish-class next thursday and I'm still waiting for the starting shot so I can project out of my couchpotatoism into my sphere of ambitiousness (!).
Oh well, it's saturday and the sun is shining so get a grip.

Fall is just around the corner and I can finally have sibbarp all to myself. No fat, screaming kids, no fat, yelling moms, no life-threatening amusement parks, no kid-excrement in the water (Thank God) and finally no unnecessary littering. I can put my most comfortable clothes on and just stroll around like nobody's business, yeah! I'm not completely alone though. Please, feel free to join me! Mr. iPod only provides support under certain circumstances.

Pablo, Johan and Victor are on a trip around europe by car (a Renault Clí0 to be more precise). Johan called me just to tell me how much fun they had and how boring my schoolwork is and Pablo did the same thing by textmessage. I guess this is the shit you have to deal with when you leave the country for a year. But F them! I love shoolwork and my eurotrip last summer rocked way more than theirs. If you guys read this I just want to let you know how much fun we're having this weekend and how much I look forward to my 8.15 class in English C on monday!

You live and learn. Have a great day everyone!

YOU CAN'T BE ME, I'M A ROCKSTAR!

WOW! I just had my seconds of fame. I totally feel like a rockstar! Well... Ok... Maybe it's not called fame if it's in a dream. But it should! I mean you dream almost 50 percent of your life, shouldn't all you rockconcerts, performances, races and hrmm.. Hook-ups with certain celebrities count in the long run? That's just bolony! I'm sure that God knows that I'm famous.
Hopefully I will mix dream with reality sooner or later.

Something rather discomforting happend to me today. After a long day in school I got on bus no.4, it's purpose is to take me home smooth, quick and safely. Approximately 1 minute and 24 seconds later I fell asleep (!)! I, almost falling into the aisle, woke me up. The first thing I noticed was a big puddle of saliva on my shirt. I stood up, looked around with a blushing face and a grin that screamed uncertainty, got off the bus and to my great dismay noticed that I was in Bunkeflo!
My story will end there since this blog might be read by users of a rather touchy nature.
Conclusion: Always wake sleeping people on buses up!
This certainly was a random post, deal with it.

BLAST FROM THE PAST

My goodbye-party july 29 2005
I looked through my photoalbum and when I found this photo I realized that I freakin' miss you girls! It's such a good picture.
?

Is life too short or is it just the right amount of time I need to fullfill all my needs and plans in my strive towards a perfect life!?
There is so much I want to do with my life and I know for a fact that life does NOT offer enough time to spend on each thing. And even if I micromanage my life I know that my ambitions are too large.

I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see.

Trials

Sometimes life seems hard,
it consists soley of trials and hard choices.
Don't feel charred,
look to all the tremendous times you've had
that will surely outweigh the bad.

The Star Spangled Banner

I am a patriot for my country, Sweden, I really am. But where is the spirit? There's alot of things in America that needs to be set right but there's one thing you cannot take away from them, their unity! The godess Beyoncé Knowles sums it all up in one single tune, The star spangled banner.

Me and my choir in America sang the Star Spangled Banner several times in front of big audiences and it felt amazing to be a part of. Beyoncé sang the Anthem on Super Bowl wich is the single most viewed event in America. Imagine standing in the middle of a huge stadium, knowing that your entire country is holding their breath and looking straight at the banner just waiting for you to open up your vocal cords and sing their most precious and symbolic song. Sing, make people cry of joy and pride for their country, finish and hear the roaring audience praise and scream, scream for you! Imagine that!

My enderaing and slightly softheaded pal Pablo (who happens to be my most frequent reader) is in nothern Sweden spreding his wings. A piece of the puzzle that makes up the life of Malmö and Limhamn is definitly missing. Therefore I believe I need to send him my regards so here it is;

.........YEAH!

avskedet

for thee must embark a cryptic mind.

prologue

It is time for me, minus, to let go of the past, put it in my backpack of experiences, learn from it and start using it for the greater good. This blog is going to be about my thoughts, my friends, my family, my values, my life and my feelings towards this world. I love my life and everyone and everything in it. You might not be interested in it but I sure am and to document it will make me appreciate it more.
Enough with the formality. I'm a geek and I'm proud of it. I'm not gonna lie, I am going to write about the global warming, littering, the immense pollutioning of our ocean and the rapid destruction of the rainforest. But I'm also going to write about Malmö, drama, sex, events, parties, school, love and hate.
My life exposed.

If you click on the different branches in the right column you will be able to read my different posts about different subjects.

V for Vendetta - Civil Disobedience

I saw this movie for the first time in America 6 months ago and I saw it again yesterday. Whatever the creators of the movie intended, I could not stop referring to Henry David Thoreau's essay "Civil Disobedience". It was published in 1849 and his famous quote "The best government is that which governs least" really makes you think. V for Vendetta is a movie and it should be separated from real life but it still scares me, what if the government has way more power than you know or could ever imagine.
According to Thoreau you should do what you think is right, if you do not agree with the government you should not just go with it and obey. And when he says obey he means paying taxes, follow the law, vote and so on. You should break loose from the restraints you're born with. In his essay he wrote "Under a government which imprisons unjustly, the true place for a just man is also a prison.… " wich pretty much engulfs his whole theory.
When I read his essay I thought to myself; WOW, if everyone did what Thoreau did, it would work, there would be no injustice! But then I thought about it, everyone is not like Thoreau, justice lies in the mind of the beholder, justice is not the same for everyone. Unfortunately.. chaos would break out.
In V for Vendetta all of London stood up against the government and the government falls, THE END. What happens next? What happens when there is no government, no laws, no injustice? What type of leadership will emerge? Because one will, it is in the nature of the human race to seek a leader, a greater force to rely on. This is the tricky part...
This is why I both agree and disagree with Thoreau. Or I'm just too closeminded to understand his thoughts fully.

I end this blog with a quote from Henry David Thoreau, think about it.
"If the alternative is to keep all just men in prison, or give up war and slavery, the State will not hesitate which to choose. If a thousand men were not to pay their tax bills this year, that would not be a violent and bloody measure, as it would be to pay them, and enable the State to commit violence and shed innocent blood. This is, in fact, the definition of a peaceable revolution, if any such is possible."
